Forex Trading Forums

You’ve probably have been on a few forums over the years. With trading, these online hubs are where trader’s can come together and discuss trading topics. These sites can provide you some insight into what’s working and what’s not when it comes to trading. A Forex trading forum will have so much information that it will be overwhelming for most.

When I started on my path to becoming a Forex trader, I joined a few forums. I found that at the end of the day, they were not a good place to spend my time. People get almost addicted to reading and posting on forums. And frankly, most of the posts are garbage information.

Forex trading forums are filled will people trying to sell products and others that are quick to judge and have no real experience. If you’ve been on any forums I’m sure you’ve seen a few busy-bodies that love to get controversial and start arguments. This did nothing to help me becoming a full time trader.

The Pros of Trading Forums
Having a network of people in the same field is a good thing to have. I am a member of a Porsche forum and it has helped me out with all kinds of great ideas for my car. There are a few golden nuggets of information that can be uncovered in forums. Healthy, real discussions can be useful too.

The Cons of Trading Forums
The information found on trading forums is very low quality. Think about it for a moment. If you are making a lot of money trading the Forex, are you going to be on a forum all day long making posts? I think not. Forums end up being filled with newbie’s and advertisers that provide little value.

I think information overload is a major problem when trying to uncover the best way to trade. Joining a forum will cause you to see a bunch of ideas that you will be compelled to try. More often than not, you’ll be taking down a path you wish you didn’t end up on.

Forex trading forums are not the place to be in my opinion. Focus your time on learning and testing one or two trading methods instead. Forex Trading Forums
